In the last year or so I have been working on my music compositions and entering various film scoring competitions, not necessarily to win (I am not delusional of my capabilities and I aware that I still have alot of work to do before I can even want to win ), but to experiment/ test the waters and experience working under pressure i.e working to a set deadline, brief and interpreting my own musical storytelling.
It's like when you first start exercising, you do a warm up and then you through yourself in cardio mode followed by strength training finished and slowly but surely you build your endurance, stamina and strenght in your specific skill...so this is the plan that I'm following to reach my film scoring goal.
You can view some of the examples in the Music page.
I've also decided to improve my recording and production skills as unfortunately in that department (as many people will know) university taught me f**k all, it was all DIY, very easy to pick up some bad habits.
So I wanted and decided to straighten it out by taking a Music Technology & Sound Engineering diploma course which took nearly a year to complete, now with all the knowledge and tips I've obtained, I've been putting them to practice.
Now I'm back and ready to take on the world...so to speak and just continue working on my portfolio, collaborate with awesome people and other creative and just not being stuck in the RAT RACE.
